Who this class is for: Adults that have always wanted to dance: Designed for beginners, however all dancers will be challenged according to ability. If you have previous dance experience and want to play with us, you are absolutely welcome!

What to expect: Jazz dance has its roots in ballet, yet is heavily influenced by Hip Hop and Pop. A fun, student-focused development class; this four class series is designed to introduce you to dance in a comfortable and friendly setting. Since this dance class is intended for people who have never had any formal training, you will find yourself surrounded by new friends who share this interest with you. You will be exposed to Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet and Stretch. Each class will include traditional fundamental work including:

Warm up with technique & stretching

Progressions across the floor

Center work

Choreography

Please join in for an exhilarating experience - the hour will fly by!

Attire: Bare feet. Sweats, tee shirts, tank tops, yoga pants, anything comfortable and loose on your body. Wear any color combo you want! Leotards and leg warmers are not required unless you want to unleash your inner Flashdance! Just a note: A good sports bra, or supportive bra is highly recommended for your comfort.

Instructor: Alison Mewer Cowan has been dancing since she could stand. She began formal training when she was 10 and continued seriously for 10 years. Alison’s training includes jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, hip hop, and musical theater.

Her highest goal in teaching this class is that all students have fun, remember how to move within their body, and play through dancing!

Cost: $10 per class. Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX accepted.

Pre-payment for the month is preferred.

How To Sign Up: Call Alison. 361-2630
