Polymer Clay Pendant

I completed my certification with Studio Home Dimensions on Saturday, (I learned how to create and teach these projects). Sunday, I was playing around with clay, and I busted out a pendant.

Isn't it interesting how light can dramatically change a photo:

More clay creations to come....

Ankle Jewelry

This proved to be a difficult angle to photograph.... I LOVE THIS!

For inquiring minds - the butterfly is done with shrink plastic, colored on the reverse side of the image with colored pencils. The beads are strung with wire. I handmade the dangles using eyepins and wrapping the wire.

Peace & Blessings!

Wedding Card

It's hard to tell in the photo - but the speckles on the couple is SPARKLES!
In real life, this card is truly STUNNING! The picture absolutely does NOT do it justice!

LIGHT at the end of the tunnel!

As you know, our home computer hasn’t been playing nice lately.

Yesterday, Adam and I had a brief conversation about it being time for us to start shopping for a new computer. Identify what we want/need, costs, etc.

We walked out the door, and on our way to a meeting, we stopped by a friend’s house to return a book I borrowed. In passing, a comment was made that it’s time for us to start shopping for a new computer.

She responded – are you sitting down (of course you are, if you're reading this blog post - silly question) – that she has a computer that has just been reformatted, that she isn’t using, and was just thinking that it’s such a waste, and she gave it to us!

Adam will need to do a bit of work, installing the appropriate programs and the like before I’ll be uploading pictures…. HOWEVER…. There is a LIGHT at the end of the tunnel of my not posting my creations to this blog in a very long time….

To be continued….

Peace & Blessings

PS – Did I mention that I have amazing friends? I’ve just been in awe for the past 16 hours.

Squealing with Glee!

I am an Angel with The Angel Company. As with most direct selling companies, demonstrators have required quota to meet. TAC's quota is completely doable! I realized a few weeks ago that I hadn't ordered in MONTHS... and I literally HAD to place an order this month. Well.... combined with some friends ordering, and with DOUBLE HOSTESS REWARDS, I certainly had fun submitting my order.

I was expecting my order to arrive some time next week; probably as I am elbow deep in my polymer clay certification.

I think you know where this is going....

Yesterday, I pulled into my driveway to see a BEAUTIFUL box sitting on my front porch!

I started squealing with such glee, I think I may have levitated the CR-V off the driveway!

Why was I sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited?

My BIND-IT-ALL and my SCOR-PAL were in the box (can you say 50% off items???!!!!!)

To see how the Bind-It-All works, take a look:

To see how the Scor-Pal works, take a look:

Last night I made a really fun BOPA (aka: Book of Positive Aspects) to write down all the things I love about people, places, and the stuff in my life. (I really want to share it with you.. but we're still working on the computer issue)

I made some card boxes with my scor-pal.

I am sooooooooooooo excited! I want to Bind EVERYTHING.... gratitude journals, cookbooks, workout logs, mileage logs, notepads.......

And the BEST part... It's Friday.... so I have the joyous weekend ahead of me to create, Create, CREATE!!!!!

Peace & Blessings & Gleeful Squeals of Delight!

Blog Break... sort of

Well, our home computer is old.
Our home computer is cranky.
Our home computer is currently refusing to cooperate.

Sooooo.... I have about 20 photos of creations that I'd just loooooooooooove to post here, but I can't.
And, with both Adam and I working full time, that leaves the weekends for Adam to dig into the old laptop, and try to fix it......

Sooooo.... until it gets fixed, I just won't be posting all that often, unless I find fun things on YouTube to share... or things that tickle my fancy......

Peace & Blessings

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Music

Adam and I DVR American Idol, so we can fast forward through commercials and commentary. We loved the theme from last night; and when Jason Castro started singing, I said "ooooohhhh, I LOOOOOOVE this version!" Adam hadn't heard it before. We watched it 3 times over before I jumped to YouTube to show Adam the original.

So, just because I love this so much:

What's in my mind:

Warning…. I’m up on my gripe box……

I know I haven’t posted for a week.

I’ve been working waaaaaaaaaaay too much – can anyone say OVERTIME!?!?!

I did make 9 cards over the weekend – but I haven’t photographed them.

Ok, I’m stepping off the gripe box and onto the excitement & appreciation box…..

In 2 weeks I’m doing my certification:

Or, if you want to see projects (click on the thumbnails):

I am so freakin’ excited over this!!!!!!!!!

Adam is a rock star with his puzzles!

It was between 50° to 60° and sunny over the weekend – YUM!

We pulled the grill out for the first time Sunday – HOT DOGS & ADAM’S BROCCOLI!

Adam made me dinner last night – (I worked 9.5 hours yesterday)

We are now surfing the net from our Nintendo Wii – yes, I’m EXCITED about that! And a wireless keyboard works well with it! Anyone else addicted to YouTube?

I read a couple books this weekend (I read really fast – naturally). Adam and I place HIGH VALUE on reading. We go through fits and spurts where we will read every night, and other times where it seems like we just can’t pick up a book because it’s too late, we’re too busy, whatever. This week – we’re trying to be in bed by 9 so we can read for at least an hour. Honestly, we EACH probably have 30 to 40 books stacked up next to the bed. If I remember, I’ll count them, and give the real number.

Fed Ex and UPS are bidding for our business at work. We are currently using Fed Ex, so when Fed Ex found out UPS has been working VERY HARD to get our business, a lavender spa set showed up for me.

It’s April!

It’s April – so I’m wearing capri’s, sandals, and tee shirts. I don’t care if it’s still 35° in the morning, it’s warming up to 50° to 60° by noon. I’m thrilled!

There are robins all over my yard.

My parents are coming to visit in May. HOLEY MOLEY, I’m so excited!

The main reason – they are sooooooooo going to LOVE the Wii. Adam and I made Mii’s for my Mom and Dad 2 nights ago. Mom’s is scary lookalike. Dad’s… well… he has a GREAT head of hair – I’m talking he should have been a hair model hair – problem is, Nintendo didn’t provide a men’s hairstyle like Dad’s… so it’s close, but not exact. – Mom’s, scary accurate – more than mine! Fun stuff!

Friends are coming over Saturday night to play Wii.

Ok, that’s it for now.

Peace & Blessings!
